Publisher

Name, legal form, postal address and e-mail for direct contact are available at livebettingnz.com. They are provided so the publisher can be identified, and so that questions and complaints reach someone.

Purpose of the site

The site is informational and is about racing and sports betting, including betting in play and on mobile. It takes no bets, holds no accounts, handles no money and does not pass readers on to bookmakers. No forecast on it promises a win.

New Zealand frame

TAB NZ has been the only provider lawfully offering racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand since 28 June 2025, under section 74AAA of the Racing Industry Act 2020; TAB and Betcha are its online brands. The Department of Internal Affairs supervises compliance. No other bookmaker holds a New Zealand licence, as none can be applied for. The minimum age for betting with TAB NZ is 18.

Content and its limits

Odds, in-play markets and offer terms alter constantly, so the provider’s own current terms are what decide. The site accepts no responsibility for decisions based on its articles. Under the Fair Trading Act 1986, misleading conduct in trade is forbidden, and the texts are written accordingly.

Links were checked when they were added. What the linked pages later contain is outside the site’s control and is for their owners to answer for. A link to unlawful content is removed once reported.

Texts, tables and graphics are covered by the Copyright Act 1994. Use beyond fair dealing requires the written consent of the editors in advance.

Gambling harm

Betting carries a risk of harm, and live betting can speed it up. Anyone noticing signs of excessive gambling in themselves or someone close can turn to the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa. TAB NZ describes deposit limits, bet limits and self-exclusion on its own pages.
